Upon arrival you will be greeted by one of our staff members who will gather some information that will help us better serve you. Once this step is complete, you will be escorted into the consultation room where the doctor will review your medical information and discuss your condition in more detail.
Following your consultation, the doctor will conduct an examination to discover the underlying cause(s) of your condition. A typical examination includes range of motion tests, orthopedic tests, neurological tests, height, weight, blood pressure, and any other testing deemed necessary to properly diagnose your condition.
In most cases we will then take X-rays. We pride ourselves on being very thorough and X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment possible, as well as alert us to any serious spinal conditions. Please note that nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
Once the X-rays are completed, we will schedule a follow up visit so the doctor can report the findings of your case. Scheduling a follow up visit gives the doctor time to review the results of your examination and study your X-rays. This extra time also allows the doctor to determine if you are likely to benefit from the medical care that we provide.
As previously mentioned, we are very thorough in evaluating your condition. Please plan to spend 1 hour to 1 Ĺ hours in the office on your first visit depending on the extent of your condition.
